"NOT including Australia or New Zealand, where is your favourite country?":
James
My favourite country:
“An amazing country encapsulating everything symbolic of Africa: Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, Great Rift Valley, Ngorogoro Crater, Zanzibar, the Big Five and the Maasai. In a word - incredible!”
Victoria
My favourite country:
“South Africa has some of the friendliest people in the world, and I’ve never felt so welcome as a tourist and a volunteer. In one country you have beautiful coastline, stunning vineyards (with great wine), cage diving with sharks, game drives and safaris as well as two of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever visited. Well worth a visit.”
Henry
My favourite country:
“From the extreme to the sublime, Belize has it all. On my first trip I experienced trekking in the jungle followed by scuba diving with sharks off the Cayes, it really has every outdoor enthusiasts dream activities!”
Amelia
My favourite country:
“Going to Ecuador was definitely the trip of a lifetime. Working at the animal rescue centre and alongside the Red Cross helping the local community was so rewarding. I even had a chance to explore the gorgeous Galapagos Islands and swim with sea lions! I can’t wait to go back!”
Michele
My favourite country:
“My favourite country is Italy because I have my family and friends there and for the food, weather, the amazing Alps, the beautiful sea, amazing landscapes. Also I like Italy for its history; in fact it is full of historical places.”
Jamie
My favourite country:
“Visiting Tanzania was mind blowing; experiencing first-hand the incredible culture and way of life of the Maasai tribe. Having a chance to see animals like rhino, cheetah and lions in their natural habitat is something I will never forget."
Daniella
My favourite country:
“The London office” – Daniella is yet to give her input as she is overseas!
Marcus
My favourite country:
“As I am in the great position of creating and assessing our new locations, my favourite country is always the next one that we will set up in. The grief, the hassle factor, the long days are all worth it once the first group arrive! So, where next?...”
Marcus is the founder of OzFORCE. In the UK he has been awarded Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He is also the elected Chairman of the Year Out Group, the independent body that promotes governance, safety and best practice in student travel.
